Pavie Macquin muß seit 1990 richtig ernst genommen werden. Die Lage oberhalb von Pavie und in Nachbarschaft zu Troplong Mondot ist ein Traum. Die Straße von Saint Emilion aus ist so eng, dass man in manchen Kehren rangieren muss. Es lohnt sich aber. Seit hier Michel Rolland und Stephane Derenoncourt tätig sind, gehört Pavie Macquin zur unbestrittenen Elite von Saint Emilion. Leider werden jährlich nur 6.500 Kisten aus den 14,5 Hektar produziert. Übrigens wird auch auf Pavie Macquin bereits zum Großteil biodynamischer Anbau praktiziert. Nicolas Thienpoint, Manager von Chateau Pavie Macquin kennen Insider von anderen Namen wie Bellevue oder Larcis Ducasse (merken!), dem übrigens neuesten Geniestreich des Gespannes Thienpoint-Derenoncourt. |
