* 90 Punkte Robert Parker THE WINE ADVOCATE: "This silky, lavishly fruity, extravagantly concentrated Cotes de Castillon was fashioned from yields of 18 hectoliters per hectare and is a blend of 70% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. Its deep plum/ruby color is followed by sweet notes of earth, roasted herbs and red as well as black fruits. Like the 2010, it is a major sleeper of the vintage. Enjoy it now and over the next 5-7 years. 2011-2018" |

* Robert Parker THE WINE ADVOCATE: "From Stephane Derenoncourt´s estate, this reliable, soft Cotes de Castillon offers luscious berry fruit intermixed with subtle smoke, earth, sweet black cherries, currants, and hints of white chocolate as well as espresso. It reveals a round, medium to full-bodied mouthfeel, and a silky finish. Drink it over the next 5-6 years."
* 90-91 Punkte Bernard Burtschy (WeinGourmet): "Vom Weingut des bekannten Önologen Stephane Derenoncourt. Elegant, frisch und eine klare Frucht - gelungen."
* QUARIN: "From 2007, the estate has expanded on 2ha located on limestone soil. For Stéphane Derenoncourt, this addition will enable gaining further definition of texture on the second part of the palate. Intense purple color. Very ripe, fruity and spicy nose. Creamy aspect. Very lovely and silky on entry, as usual, this wine makes me think of wines from the town of Margaux. Developing melting, juicy, caressing and aromatic, with fine tannins. With a rebound on the finish (that is new!) this wine is finishing long, and a tad rustic, which it wasn´t before. Good length. Barrel ageing should smooth and embellish it." |

* 90 Punkte Stephen Tanzer IWC: "Bright ruby-red. Brooding aromas of black fruits, minerals and pepper. Dense, sweet and generous, with deep, chewy black fruit flavors lifted by a mineral element. Boasts a firm spine of acidity without any hardness. At once sweet and savory, finishing with suave but firm tannins and sneaky length." |

* 91 Punkte Robert Parker THE WINE ADVOCATE: "A fabulous sleeper of the vintage from the home estate of winemaking consultant Stephane Derenoncourt, this blend of 60% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc, and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon is bottled unfined and unfiltered. Its dense ruby/purple color is followed by sumptuous aromas of coffee, blackberries, cassis, smoke, and earth. Seriously-endowed, opulent, and full-bodied, this hedonistic 2005 should drink beautifully for 10-12 years."
* Sensationell an 3. Stelle der Weine vom rechten Ufer in einer Bordeaux 2005 Verkostung der GRAND JURY EUROPEEN im Jahr 2008. |

90 Punkte Robert Parker: "A sensational sleeper of the vintage from the home estate of Bordeaux’s brilliant winemaking guru, Stephane Derenoncourt, the 2004 Domaine de l’A reveals notes of toasty new oak intermixed with smoky, meaty, black currant liqueur-like characteristics. Dark ruby/purple-hued, chewy, fleshy, and powerful with loads of fruit and intensity, it will be even better with 1-3 years of bottle age, and should keep for 10-12 years. Very impressive!" |
