* 95 Robert Parker THE WINE ADVOCATE: "The 2007 Flor de Pingus exhibits a superb perfume of pain grille, pencil lead, espresso, mineral, black cherry, and blackberry. This is followed by a medium to full-bodied, seriously intense, rich wine that combines elegance with power. Impeccably balanced with the oak fully integrated, it has the structure for another 4-6 years of cellaring and will offer prime drinking from 2014 to 2027." |

* 98 Punkte Robert Parker THE WINE ADVOCATE: "Vintage conditions required a stricter selection for the 2007 Pingus. The aromatics are more brooding but seriously multifaceted. Smoke, pencil lead, truffle, Asian spices, blackberry, and licorice notes are followed by a chewy, dense, rich, powerful wine with fully integrated oak, savory black fruits, ripe tannins, and a decade of aging potential. Drink it from 2020 to 2037 if not longer." |

* 95 Punkte Robert Parkers THE WINE ADVOCATE: "The 2006 Flor de Pingus is deep purple in color with a superb bouquet of toasty oak, spice box, mineral, incense, black cherry, and blackberry. Youthful, full-bodied, intense, and powerful on the palate, it retains an elegant personality despite its size. Splendidly balanced, it will evolve for 4-6 years and deliver prime drinking from 2013 to 2026." |

* 98 Punkte Robert Parkers THE WINE ADVOCATE: "The 2006 Pingus is a spectacular effort. A glass-staining saturated opaque purple, it delivers an other-worldly perfume of smoke, lavender, mineral, scorched earth, and an amalgam of kinky black fruits. Voluptuous on the palate in a measured way, it has superb balance, layered, complex flavors, ripe tannin that is entirely covered by the fruit, and a decade of aging potential. This monumental wine will evolve effortlessly for 10-15 years and offer a drinking window extending from 2016 to 2036."
* 97 Punkte GUIA PENIN: "Tiefes Kirschrot, sehr tiefes Kirschrot. Aroma mittlere Intensität, frisches Obst, ausdrucksstark fruchtig, feiner Kakao. Am Gaumen kraftvoll, geschmackvoll, leicht alkoholisch, komplex, Toastnoten, mineralisch." |

* 96 Punkte in Robert Parker's The WINE ADVOCATE: "The 2005 Flor de Pingus comes from rented vineyards planted to 100% Tempranillo. The wine spends 14 months in new French oak. Purple-colored, it offers an alluring bouquet of pain grille, crushed stone, violets, black raspberry, and blueberry. Already complex on the palate, it has gobs of sweet fruit, excellent intensity, perfect balance, and a 60-second finish. In the price/quality sweepstakes, this might be Spain’s finest wine. Kudos to Peter Sisseck for a brilliant and enthralling set of wines."
* 93 Punkte STEPHEN TANZER IWC: "Deep red. Smoky cherry and cassis aromas are complicated by mocha, vanilla and cured tobacco. Coffee-accented red and dark berry flavors are enlivened by zesty minerality, which adds focus. Suave, sweet cherry-cola and anise flavors carry impressively through the vibrant, delineated finish. The 2004 has more power, this more finesse."
* 17 Punkte JANCIS ROBINSON.com: "Made from younger vines than Pingus itself (but still a very respectable 35 years old) and from one specific vineyard so it is not actually the second wine of Pingus. Delicately sweet fresh fruit on the nose, fine-grained, elegant and fresh but with a surprising density – yet no heaviness whatsoever." |

* 99 Punkte Robert Parkers THE WINE ADVOCATE: "The 2005 Pingus is the most powerful of this series (power being a major characteristic of the top 2005s in the DO). It offers up a perfume beginning to develop some complexity, terrific volume and richness on the palate, and a lengthy, pure finish. This is a great wine that should have a 40 year lifespan." |

* 100 Punkte bei Robert Parker's THE WINE ADVOCATE: "In the wonderful 2004 vintage, owner/winemaker Peter Sisseck has outdone himself. The 2004 Pingus comes from 100% estate vineyards, biodynamically farmed. It is 100% Tempranillo and is aged 18 months in new French oak. It offers more of everything from its splendid nose of cedar, smoke, charcoal, blackberry, and blueberry to its thick, super-concentrated, and layered mid-palate. The tannins are totally concealed and the pure finish is remarkably long. The wine deserves at least a decade of cellaring and should drink beautifully for 25 years thereafter." |

* 96-100 Punkte Robert Parker's The WINE ADVOCATE: "A candidate for perfection, the profound 2003 Pingus possesses an awesome smoky, blackberry, and cassis-scented nose intermixed with hints of espresso roast, lead pencil shavings, cedar, and subtle new oak. Sensational concentration, a seamless integration of acidity, tannin, alcohol, and wood, and a blockbuster finish LASTING NEARLY A MINUTE result in one of the most profound wines ever made in Spain. It should age effortlessly for two decades or more." |

* 98 Punkte Robert Parker's The WINE ADVOCATE: "Readers can look forward to a spectacular, nearly perfect 1999 Pingus. It boasts an opaque ruby/purple color, sensational extract, gorgeous concentration, and spectacularly intense blackberry and cherry aromas and flavors infused with incense, coffee, chocolate, and toasty new oak. Enormous levels of extract and richness are accompanied by a full-bodied, glycerin-imbued, thick, viscous finish. The tannin is nearly hidden by the wine's wealth of fruit and concentration." |

* STEPHEN TANZER IWC: "Saturated ruby-red. Highly nuanced nose of black- and redcurrant, raspberry, Cuban tobacco, minerals, brown spices and currant leaf. Large-scaled but sharply delineated, though less sweet and a bit heavier than the '99. Shows the intriguing Provençal herb component that I've found in just about every vintage of Pingus. Finishes very long, with firm acids and tannins. With 48 hours in the recorked bottle, this showed exotic spices and white pepper, and a Burgundian finesse." |
