| We, the brothers Michael and Wulf Unger, founded Unger Weine in 1993, both coming
from completely different professions. Michael Unger was involved in automobile engineering and Wulf Unger graduated
in finance. From the start, we dedicated ourselves to high-quality wines, focusing on Bordeaux, Italy,
California and Spain. Many exclusive imports from these countries reflect our competence in this segment.
We started in our parents' home, the two of us in an office measuring only eight square meters. Packing was done
in the basement with newspapers and old cardboard boxes for diapers. But already back then there was a respectable
wine cellar. In the time thereafter, a completely new cellar was built below the adjoining meadow, the office transferred
in 2000, and since autumn 2007 we have been working in our new attractive company building which offers
extensive subterranean storage space, exclusive rooms for events and generously-sized offices. |

To meet our high demands on quality, we travel regularly to each of our importing countries. We visit
Bordeaux, Italy and California several times a year. In this way, we have gotten to know almost all of our producers
personally. Our customers include top German catering firms, many renowned companies and
private wine freaks. |
 |
| Unger Weine is an ideal partner for all kinds of events. We hold wine tastings - small
and large - to which we issue regular invitations. In 1999, we organized the most extensive Penfolds tasting ever
held in Europe up to that date. More than 40 Grange vintages and many special cuvées (BIN 80A, BIN 820, …) were
presented to an exclusive circle in Dieter Müller's three-star Schlosshotel Lerbach. We held two complete Sassicaia
tastings, starting with the first vintage of 1968, in Aschau (three-star Residenz Heinz Winkler) and in South
Tyrol (one-star Pichler Restaurant). |

25 Petrus vintages
|
|
In December 2008, we opened 25 Petrus vintages from 1964 to 2003 on the
occasion of our yearly Christmas Tasting. Peter Gago, Penfolds' chief winemaker, issued an invitation to the
first Penfolds Wine Clinic at Unger Weine in October 2008. With more than 200 newly corked Grange dating back
to the 1955 vintage, it was a tremendous success. In addition, we organize various events, as for instance with
Frederic Engerer of Chateau Latour, Stephan Graf von Neipperg of Chateau Canon la Gaffeliere, Jean Guillaume
Prats of Chateau Cos d'Estournel and many other winegrowers. |
 |
| We offer our customers the opportunity to meet
the crème de la crème of producers personally. And Mercedes-AMG, with its high-caliber vehicles, is always a sporty
and reliable partner at our events. In addition to Mercedes-AMG, our cooperation partners include well-known companies
such as Bang & Olufsen, Gaggenau, San Pellegrino, IWC and others. In shop events, we have been cooperative with
Bang & Olufsen since 2001. In the future, our focus will remain on absolute top wines and
on holding the most top-notch events. |
