The 1977 has consistently been at the top of my list of vintage ports in this great vintage, although the Dow, Graham, and Fonseca are equally splendid. Taylor ist mittlerweile eine Schwesterfirma von Fonseca, so dass beide Firmen zusammen wohl die Spitze im Port Bereich darstellen. Bei Taylor werden die Trauben der Spitzenqualitäten immer noch durch Stampfen gekeltert. Gegründet wurde Taylor 1692 und es ist immer noch im Besitz der Nachfahren des Erstbesitzers. |
