* 18 WEINWISSER: "Sehr dunkles Purpur, sanft violette Reflexe. Umwerfendes Rumtopf-Aroma, sehr reife Frucht, etwas parfümiert wirkend, fast berauschend in seinem Gesamtduft. Explosiver, reicher Gaumen, sehr expressiv, gewaltiges blau- und rotbeeriges Fruchtspiel, Brombeertöne im langen, aber recht feinen Finale. Gehört zur Elite." |

* 92 Punkte Robert Parker THE WINE ADVOCATE: "An amazing accomplishment for a Bordeaux Superieur, Reignac´s 2000, a blend of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, cropped at 25 hectoliters per hectare and aged 100% on its lees in new oak, exhibits an opaque ruby/purple color, an impressively complex nose of black currants intermixed with graphite, vanilla, and cedar. The wine is medium to full-bodied, dense, rich, and the qualitative equivalent of a top classified growth from the Medoc. Another 2000 that has to be tasted to be believed, it should drink well for 8-10 years, possibly longer. A revelation!" |

* 95 Punkte Robert Parker THE WINE ADVOCATE: "Readers looking for a fruit-forward vintage should check out the 2004 Melbury. A sensational wine with an inky bluish/purple color, fabulous blueberry and blackberry fruit with hints of lead pencil, acacia flower, pain grille, and spice, the tannins are supple and the wine exuberant, flamboyant, ripe, rich, and long. This is sensational stuff that can be drunk now or cellared for 20-25 years."
* 97 WINESPECTATOR: 2Fresh black cherry, currant and plum aromas are pure and riveting. Firm, rich and polished, with hints of nutmeg, rose petal and wild berry that are deep and complex. Intense, focused and concentrated, this is beautifully balanced, deep and persistent, with ripe, integrated tannins. Drink now through 2018. 573 cases made." |

* 96+ Robert Parker THE WINE ADVOCATE: "The 2004 Vecina shares an opaque ruby/purple color, smells of wet steel, crushed rocks, spring flowers, forest floor, and plenty of cedar and chocolatey black currant and blackberry notes. A huge, spicy, complex nose is followed by a wine of impressive ripeness, full-bodied power, and a multi-dimensional mouthfeel with huge amounts of glycerin, fruit, and thickness. This is a connoisseur’s treat, and despite the fruit-forward character of the vintage, this wine ideally needs 2-4 years of bottle age and should keep for 30-35+ years."
* 95 Punkte Stephen Tanzer IWC: "Deep, full ruby. Black raspberry, licorice, roasted tobacco and mocha on the nose. Huge, broad and compellingly deep but not especially sweet or fruity. Surprisingly sappy acidity gives the wine shape and verve. The tannins here seem sweeter than those of the young 2005, and the palate-saturating finish displays great persistence." |

* 97 Punkte Robert Parker THE WINE ADVOCATE: "The 2004 St. Eden seems to hit all the sweet spots on my palate. A wine of great complexity, richness, and intensity, with oodles of creme de cassis fruit and plenty of roasted herbs and meatiness, with exceptional power and richness, this wine has fleshed out since I had it last year, and seems to be destined to be one of Bond’s most compelling wines, a full-bodied wine with great purity, richness, and beautifully integrated acidity, wood, and tannin. Give it 1-3 years of bottle age and drink it over the following 25 years." |

* 95 Punkte Robert Parker THE WINE ADVOCATE: "The newest wine, Pluribus, will give just about any vineyard on Spring Mountain a run for its money. The 2004 Pluribus has a dense purple color and an elegant, sweet nose of creme de cassis intermixed with some camphor, graphite, and a hint of blueberry (or is it very ripe raspberries?). Quite opulent, full-bodied, but with good underlying acidity, this wine is fresh and remarkably light on its feet for a wine of such enormous intensity and richness. These efforts are all brilliantly executed wines from obviously fabulous sites."
* 96 Punkte WINESPECTATOR: "A rich, opulent, fleshy style, brimming with ripe black cherry, wild berry and currant flavors that are supple and well-focused, keeping the fruit well-centered and ending with ripe tannins that have a nice earthy, cedary edge. There´s wonderful length on the finish. Best from 2009 through 2018. 630 cases made." |

* 96+ Robert Parkers THE WINE ADVOCATE: "The 2005 Barolo Le Rocche del Falletto is a massive, towering Barolo loaded with tons of rich, primary fruit. The wine remains powerful, dense and muscular with superb length even if it is a smaller-scaled Barolo compared to previous great vintages. That said, when I came back to the wine after it had been in the glass for an hour or so, I found that the wine had grown remarkably. While the 2005 doesn’t have the explosive personality of the 2004, it remains an awesome achievement in this vintage. Anticipated maturity: 2015-2035."
* 95 WINESPECTATOR: "Displays pure strawberry and raspberry, with notes of rose. Full-bodied, with ultrarefined tannins and a persistent finish. A wine with grace, finesse and wonderful depth. Best after 2014. 1,000 cases made." |

Auf die Frage, wie der Champagner wohl schmecken würde, meinte Laurent: "The taste is like a Grand Champagne, with a lot of complexity and depth." |

* 96 Punkte in Robert Parkers THE WINE ADVOCATE: "The 2007 Gabbro (Cabernet Sauvignon) is flat-out great. Layers of dark fruit, smoke, cured meat, cassis and grilled herbs come to life as this powerful, muscular wine gradually reveals the depth of its pedigree and sheer class. Despite its size, the 2007 Gabbro possesses exquisite complexity and a long, nuanced finish. Scents of tar, licorice and smoke provide the final exclamation points on what is truly a memorable wine. Anticipated maturity: 2017-2027."

* 93 Punkte in Robert Parkers THE WINE ADVOCATE: "The 2007 Eneo is simply awesome. Juicy red cherries, new leather, tobacco, wild cherries and earthiness come together in a rich, powerful style. Elements of ripeness and structure are combined in a classy wine of notable pedigree. The finish is long, energetic and focused, bringing everything back into place with remarkable harmony. The 2007 Eneo is 40% Montepulciano, 25% Sangiovese, 25% Marselan and 10% Alicante Bouschet that was aged in used French oak barrels. Anticipated maturity: 2017-2027.
These impeccable, gorgeous 2007s from Montepeloso and proprietor Fabio Chiarellotto all came in at the high end of the ranges I published in Issue
184 based on samples I tasted just before the wines were bottled. The only real changes are in the drinking dates, which I have pushed back for all the
wines, as they have firmed up a bit in bottle, something that is quite normal. Montepeloso is one of the emerging stars of the Tuscan coast. There
isn’t too much more to say, except that these are reference-point wines that readers who love the best Tuscany has to offer will not want to be without."

* 95 Punkte in Robert Parkers THE WINE ADVOCATE: "The 2007 Nardo bursts onto the palate with an array of fresh, vibrant cherries, strawberries and flowers. The wine turns darker and weightier in the glass, with sweet, candied aromas that emerge, leading to a sensual, totally alluring finish. Silky tannins frame the explosive fruit with superb elegance. In 2007 the final blend was 35% Montepulciano, 35% Sangiovese, 22% Marselan and 8% Alicante Bouschet. The wine was aged in a combination of new and old barriques and larger demi-muids. Today Nardo comes across as the most accessible of Montepeloso’s 2007s. Anticipated maturity: 2015-2027."

* Robert Parker THE WINE ADVOCATE: "This perfumed, sexy effort is dominated by complex aromas of scorched earth, Provencal garrigue notes, and black cherries. It is medium-bodied, with serious concentration, moderate tannin, and a long finish. This plum/garnet-colored wine will benefit from 2-3 more years of cellaring. Anticipated maturity: 2005-2015."
* WINESPECTATOR: "WELL DONE. Dark ruby, with lovely aromas of plum, dark chocolate and berry. Medium- to full-bodied, with velvety tannins and a long finish." |
