FALSTAFF: "Leuchtendes helles Strohgelb mit zarten grünen Noten. Zeigt dezent rauchige Anklänge, dann viel reife, präsente Frucht, nach Ananas und Banane, dazu etwas Bratapfel, dicht. Verwoben und satt am Gaumen, breitet sich kontinuierlich aus, feiner süßer Schmelz, im Finale cremig und lange anhaltend."

JAMES SUCKLING: "This is always a stunning white and 2014 could be the best yet. Guava peel, passion fruit, citrus rind, apricots, peach flan, croissant, orange blossom, nutmeg and spices all make for an extremely complex nose. Layered and very rich, but with just the right amount of acidity to provide definition and agility. Long and very layered on the fleshy finish. An essay in power and depth for white wine. Drink now."

THE WINE ADVOCATE: "The 2014 Alto Adige Appius is a terrific blend of 65% Chardonnay, 15% Pinot Grigio, 8% Pinot Bianco and 12% Sauvignon Blanc. The wine delivers a generous and softly textured mouthfeel with stone fruit, ripe apricot, beeswax, sweet spice, toasted nut and almond butter.
