18 RENÈ GABRIEL: "Sattes Purpur-Granat, dicht in der Mitte, lila Schimmer aussen. Schönes Pflaumenbouquet, ein Hauch Dörrfrüchte,. Kakaobohnen und dunkle Ledernoten. Schöner Gaumen, schon fast erhaben mit viel Noblesse, Tabaknoten, Trüffel und Korinthen, im Finale Teer und Lakritze. Hier bahnt sich vielleicht einer der grössten Duhart´s der Geschichte an." Drink: 2016 - 2034.
92 WINESPECTATOR: "This takes a fleshy, rather toasty approach, showing roasted plum and black currant fruit, with a smoked mesquite note on the loam-tinged finish. There´s more breadth than depth, but this has the latent minerality to last a long time in the cellar. Best from 2015 through 2027."
93 WINEENTHUSIAST: "92-94 Barrel sample. A rounded wine, its tannins submerged into the ripe fruits. It feels soft, and there is just a bite of alcohol. The structure is soft, generous, opulent."
17.5 JANCIS ROBINSON:" Sweet, jewelly, hedonistic nose. Quite flashy with, yet again, a suggestion of rose petals. Big and blockbustery. Some alcohol on the end but very fine tannins in abundance. Some of the aromas remind me of a fine, mature Riesling! Calms down a bit on the finish. Very long term. Nowadays this is QGV".
89-92 ANTONIO GALLONI: "(a 63/37 blend of cabernet sauvignon and merlot; 13.5% alcohol; IPT 70) Medium-deep ruby. The delicately scented nose is classic Pauillac: blackcurrant, violet, cedar and graphite. Enters smooth and seamless, with lively acids nicely lifting the blackberry, plum and smoky mineral flavors. Refined and restrained Pauillac, finishing sleek and long, with very smooth tannins and a lingering mineral quality. This speaks to me of high-quality cabernet sauvignon on gravel. One of the best young Duhart-Milons ever, and in this vintage it bears more than a passing resemblance to Lafite-Rothschild, which is under the same ownership, even though the two wines are obviously quite different."
95 JAMES SUCKLING: "This is superb, with so much beautiful subtle fruit and wonderful flowers. Full and very lively, with super fine tannins and a lively finish. Very exciting. Best ever from here. Try in 2018."
95 THE WINE CELLAR INSIDER: "Medium.full bodied, elegant, finesse styled Pauillac with a focus on freshness, silky, smooth tannins and ripe cassis, blackberries, earth, thyme, tobacco and cedar wood aromatics. On the palate, the wine is fresh, sweet, lively and serves up ample, ripe, sweet, spicy fruits in the finish. Still young, there is not much in the way of secondary development yet, but there is such a wealth of ripe fruit and silk tannins, like many 2009 Bordeaux wines, they can be deceptively easy to drink in their youth. The wine was made from a blend of 63% Cabernet Sauvignon and 37% Merlot."
