Chateau La Mondotte
Chateau La Mondotte 2011
94 PARKER THE WINE ADVOCATE: "This tiny yet special terroir owned by Stefan von Neipperg has turned out a sumptuous, opulent, gorgeously proportioned St.-Emilion that is a blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc. The color is a dense purple and the bouquet offers up scents of mulberries, sweet black cherries, licorice, incense and a touch of minerality. Broad, concentrated and rich, this full-bodied wine will benefit from several years of bottle age and drink well for 20 years."
93 WINESPECTATOR: "Juicy, with lots of ripe plum, anise and blackberry flavors, mixed with licorice snap and Black Forest cake accents. The fruit is exuberant and filled out for the vintage, showing well-embedded acidity and excellent energy through the finish. Best from 2016 through 2026. –JM"
