Chateau Mouton Rothschild
Chateau Mouton Rothschild - Le Petit Mouton 2010
18 JANCIS ROBINSON: "Savoury, appetising nose. Neat and fresh with real intensity. Nothing out of line. Just the essence of the vintage. Not showy. Lots of classy tannin and top-quality Cabernet."
96 JAMES SUCKLING: "This is clearly the best second wine that Mouton has ever made. Truly superb with blackberries and currants on the nose. Full body, with super velvety tannins. The length is so wonderful and delicious. Dense yet super balanced. Hard not to drink now. Better in 2018."
93 THE WINEADVOCATE: "The 2010 Le Petit Mouton is one of the best ever made. Philippe Dhalluin has conjured such purity on the nose that it´s almost like Bordeaux doing an impression of Burgundy, though the latter would not be sporting those subtle cedar and mint aromas. The palate is medium-bodied and beautifully balanced, much more approachable than other 2010 Pauillacs, but with tremendous sensuality and poise, a saline note on the finish lending length and detail. This is highly recommended. Tasted August 2016."
91 THE WINE CELLAR INSIDER: "The best vintage of Le Petit Mouton made yet, delivers pungent aromas of ripe black raspberries, plum, oak and fennel. There is a plush, polished feeling to the tannins, that finishes with layers of fresh, ripe, dark cherries with hints of cocoa. This is already drinking well."
