THE WINE ADVOCATE: THE WINEADVOCATE:"The 2015 Château Olivier Blanc has a lively citrus and lime flower scented bouquet, with pear and almost granitic notes surfacing with aeration. The palate is very well balanced with crisp acidity - green apple, gooseberry and a twist of sour lemon towards the finish. There is something almost Loire-like here, perhaps a little Sancerre-like in style, but irrespective of stylistic semblances, the bottom line is that this constitutes a very fine white Bordeaux that will be delicious from the word go."

WEINWISSER: WEINWISSER:"Dunkles Granat, recht satt in der Mitte, rubiner Rand. Dunkelbeeriges Bouquet, schwarze Pralinen und viel Mokkanuancen. Im Gaumen mit recht feinem Stoff und angenehmen Tanninen unterwegs. Man spürt eine kühle, knappe Reife, das gibt aber andererseits auch eine schöne Würze. Noch nie hat mir eine Fassprobe von einem Olivier so gut gefallen. Es ist zwar noch nicht aller Tage Abend und man spürt nach dem Spucken eine leicht kernige Note auf der Zunge, aber wie schon gesagt; so gut war er noch nie als Fassprobe."

DECANTER: DECANTER:"Youthful green hue. The gorgeous nose exudes white flower, quince and pineapple notes. The palate balances richness and acidity well, although I sense just a touch of varietal gooseberry from the dominating Sauvignon Blanc in the blend. The finish includes pleasing wet stone aspects and lift. Fine integration of the 33% new oak for aging. For the price, a bargain bottle!"

WINE SPECTATOR: "Solidly ripe, showing a nice flow to the cassis and plum fruit flavors, carried by graphite and tar accents. A singed alder hint melds through the finish, with a tobacco note lurking down the road. Delivers purity and charm. Best from 2020 through 2030.
