THE WINE ADVOCATE: "This wine has a beautiful, dense, opaque bluish/purple color, with loads of sweet fruit, no noticeable oak, earth, spice and a medium to full-bodied mouthfeel. The finish is long, opulent and beautifully textured. This is stunning Pomerol in this vintage. Drink it over the next 12-15 years. There is also room for further improvement. The final blend was 95% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc with the alcohol 14.1% from tiny yields of 22 hectoliters per hectare."

WEINWISSER: "Aufhellendes Granat mit mittlerer Dichte, feiner Rand. Deutlich röstiges Bouquet, Maulbeerentouch und schwarze Kirschen, Pulverkaffee. Im Gaumen samtig, weich, mit recht feinen Taninen und doch halbfordernder Adstringenz. Die Vinifikation ist ganz anders als früher. Schlägt jetzt die Moderne zu? Diesem Jahrgang ist es bekommen."
