UNGER WEINE has been one of the leading companies in the area of premium and rare wine trading for more than 25 years. 

UNGER WEINE has always been committed to high-quality wines, at the beginning with a different focus though. It all started at the family home with the two brothers sharing an 8-square-meter office equipped with brand new leather office chairs, which still do their job 25 years later. They packed the wines in the cellar using newspaper and diaper boxes from their parents’ pharmacy. Back then they already had a reputable cellar and perfect storage conditions. In 1994 they took all there efforts to build a 120-square-meter cellar just underneath the adjoining garden, space, they couldn´t imagine ever outgrowing. Five years later, there was already a second cellar. In 1999 they moved the office to the neighboring building and hired their first employees. The staff grew and the office filled quickly, the cellar even more so. As the in-house logistics became more and more complicated, they had to make a decision: outsourcing or coming up with an all-round in-house solution. After almost five years of planning, development and construction, they finally moved to Frasdorf in fall 2006, a building typical of the area with a traditional Alpine style, equipped with large and perfectly air-conditioned under-surface storage. In fall 2015, finally the most extensive construction section to date was finished – the “Zuhäusl”. Realizing this project had proven to be a big challenge because of the difficult geological conditions and sheer size of the project. After many years of planning and more than two years being under construction, UNGER WEINE today covers several thousand square meter of underground storage space, comparable with only the best wine producers worldwide. Additional high-quality event space, office space and a fitness area for employees was also built. Since January 2016, UNGER WEINE also offers their customer the opportunity to store their wines with UNGER WEINE – DER KELLER, offering the highest possible storage quality and security.
In the generously proportioned, bright and fully air-conditioned offices, 25 employees enjoy comfortable working areas with the highest standard of technology, their own fitness area and high-quality outside surfaces. The building and cellar feature an ecological heating system run on wood, the air-conditioning is based on an underground water cooling system. Rainwater is reused in the garden, where vegetables, fruit and herbs are grown and our own honey being produced. UNGER WEINE’s customer base not only serves a demanding global clientele, but also the very best in German gastronomy, hotels, many famous companies, and private wine enthusiasts. In the future, our focus will continue to deliver the very best wines and organize top-class events. In order to reach these ambitious goals, we are proud on our long-term, valuable employees, which are on hand to personally assist our customers in every way possible.
