DECANTER: "Les Corbeaux neighbours Mazis-Chambertin to the north and, at its best, can aspire to Grand Cru quality. This comes from two small parcels with an average age of 60 years and is another brilliant wine from this superstar domaine. Everything is expertly judged here, from the 60% whole bunches to the 75% new wood, both of which add layers of flavour and complexity to this succulent, balanced, effortlessly harmonious wine."

THE WINE ADVOCATE: "Aromas of blackberries, cherries, espresso roast, rich soil, peonies and smoky cassis introduce the 2018 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Les Corbeaux, a medium to full-bodied, deep and succulent wine that's built around powdery tannin and lively acids. Especially elegant and precise this year, this is an intensely flavored, sapid Corbeaux that was vinified with 70% whole cluster and matured in 66% new oak—a third less than only two years ago."
