Lange Zeit war die Appellation Fronsac ein Geheimtipp, bis Ende der 1980er Jahre allmählich einige Kritiker auf die Weine von dort aufmerksam wurden. Jeb Dunnuck: The only château on the Right Bank who has Boissenot as a consultant (he's primarily Left Bank), the 2021 Château De La Huste is outstanding and has a medium-bodied, elegant, silky profile as well as terrific red fruits, spice, tobacco, and hints of flowers in its aromatics. I love it today, yet it will easily keep through 2031+."

James Suckling: Lots of hazelnut chocolate and creamy vanilla character at the moment, but the fruit is not subdued, showing some rich but fresh blackberries and dark cherries throughout. Creamy, dusty tannins surround the palate with medium to full body and a really long, plush finish. Modern and truly well-made with very good length and acidity. Drink from 2027 when the wood spices round off."
