  "The 2018 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Morgeot has turned out nicely, wafting from the glass with scents of pear, citrus oil, blanched almond, nutmeg and buttery pastry. Full-bodied, layered and unctuous, this is a rich, ripe wine, yet it's bright and lively, too, with a lovely line of acidity. As readers may know, this cuvée derives from lieux-dit En Franchemont, on the border with Santenay—in fact, a parcel that once supplied Maison Verget."
