DECANTER: "Matcha, white chocolate and gooseberries - clean fresh and expressive on the nose. Crisp and tense, this has an immediate burst of energy and flavour on the palate, mouthwatering, pineapple, grapefruit, green apple and grapes, but so juicy, nothing bitter here at all. Fun and fresh, clean all the way through, and so uplifting. Feels perfectly manicured and there’s power, this is not light, it’s filling but at the same time elegant. Hard to explain just how good this is. Pure enjoyment with a sharp, almost sour edge that is very enjoyable."

JEB DUNNUCK: "The team at Lafleur makes two whites. The 2021 Grand Village (Lafleur) Blanc is 73% Sauvignon and 27% Semillon, and this will be the first vintage made in the new cellars at Grand Village. It's also the first year where it was vinified at cooler temperatures, which might have resulted in the incredible purity and precision in this beauty. Pineapple, flowers, hints of banana (which I've no doubt will dissipate over the course of its élevage), and chalky, salty notes give way to a medium-bodied, beautifully balanced, crystalline white that's well worth seeking out."

LISA PERROTTI-BROWN: "A blend of 73% Sauvignon Blanc and 27% Semillon, the 2021 white Grand Village pops from the glass with notes of fresh grapefruit, green apples, and lime blossoms, plus hints of coriander seed, paraffin wax, and white pepper. The light to medium-bodied palate is filled with citrusy flavor, with a crisp backbone and a long chalky finish."

THE WINE CELLAR INSIDER: "Honeysuckle, white peach, and yellow citrus are on the nose as well as on the sweet, crisp, juicy, palate with all of its tangerine, pineapple, and mango. This is perfect for near-term drinking, and it is good to go as soon as you bring a bottle home. The wine blends 73% Sauvignon Blanc and 27% Semillon. Drink from 2024-2029."

THE WINE ADVOCATE: "Regularly one of the standout dry white wines from the Bordeaux appellation, the 2021 Blanc, a blend of 73% Sauvignon Blanc (picked on the 9th, 11th and 13th of September) and 27% Sémillon (picked on the 7th of September), offers up a fresh, delicate and elegant bouquet with aromas of lemon oil, lemon, spices, lime tree leaves, menthol and perfectly ripe orchard fruits. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and racy, it's layered and seamless, its concentrated core of fruit underpinned by racy acids, concluding with a calcareous, saline finish."
