  • Decanter

Aromatic and evocative, bursting with pink grapefruit, tropical fruits, elderflower, lemongrass and snow pea, with a creamy lees undertow and flashes of herbal/mineral notes. A rich, mouth-filling palate, generous in tropical fruit and citrussy acid drive, which tightens up to a nicely crisply saline, long dry finish. Lovely now but fruit intensity and balance suggest this will mellow nicely in the bottle too. Richelle Tyney joined Greywacke in 2021, bringing steady-handed finesse to an already very smart collection of wines."

  • Wine Spectator

This white’s vibrant, aromatic flavors of lemon blossoms, ripe peach, kumquat and lime sherbet show focus and intensity on a smooth, sleek body. Touches of candied ginger and green tea linger on the fresh finish. Drink now. 10,000 cases imported."

  • James Suckling

Aromas of lemon rind, lime curd, passion fruit and matchsticks. The palate is medium-bodied with a creamy texture and racy acidity, giving flavors of grapefruit, sea salt and orange blossoms. Textural and minerally, with underlying power and reduction. Drink now. Screw cap."

  • The Wine Advocate

The 2024 Sauvignon Blanc was hand delivered to me in Fremantle by winemaker Richelle Tyney from Greywacke, all the way from Marlborough, New Zealand-roughly 5,200 kilometers between us. The wine leads with passion fruit and white pineapple, green apple, beeswax and brine. The wine is salty, fine and sedate-the characters are all in balance with each other. I love this wine from this small producer. It is intense and concentrated, shaped by savory phenolics and loaded with crunchy New Zealand acidity. This speaks of the place in a clear, unfettered voice, and it's brilliant for that. 13.5% alcohol, sealed under screw cap."

  • Jancis Robinson

Vibrant but not overly pungent grassy and pea-pod aromas, with grapefruit and grapefruit-pith zestiness. All those flavours on the palate and an unexpected spiciness that prickles on your tongue. Pure, taut, fresh and lively but with more texture and depth - and length - than many a New Zealand Sauvignon. This has real presence and complexity, the lees adding a chewy richness on the long finish."
