Das intensive Bouquet offenbart verführerische Noten von exotischen Früchten, Karambolle, Honig und Weißpfirsich, umspielt von blumigen Nuancen und feinen Kräuteraromen. Am Gaumen präsentiert sich der 1998er kraftvoll mit einer üppigen Textur, die durch eine lebendige Säurestruktur perfekt ausbalanciert wird. Die saftige Fruchtfülle mit Anklängen von Zitrusfrüchten und einer dezenten Vanillenote kulminiert in einem lang anhaltenden Finale. Ein majestätischer Weißwein mit bemerkenswerter Frische und Vitalität.

Chateau Laville Haut Brion

Auf Chateau Laville Haut Brion, der Weißweinparzelle von Chateau La Mission Haut Brion, stehen lediglich drei Hektar unter Reben. 60% Sémillion und 40% Sauvignon blanc bilden die Cuvee des Laville Haut Brion, von dem es jährlich nur etwa 900 Kisten gibt. Die Parzelle wurde 1928 auf die Weißweinproduktion umgestellt, nachdem die Böden für die Rotweinproduktion als zu fett erachtet wurden. Die hieraus produzierten Weine sind allerdings Weißweine mit Weltformat, mit allen vinologischen Tugenden versehen und einem Alterungspotential, daß die meisten Rotweine nicht erreichen.
