  "A blend of 80% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2022 Clos Saint-Martin is massive and deeply layered, with dense black fruits, truffle, chocolate, crushed stone, and floral notes. Full-bodied and powerful, it has great freshness, fine tannins, and remarkable purity. Aged for 20 months in 60% new oak barrels and 40% amphorae, this structured and mineral-driven wine will need time but should evolve gracefully for 30+ years. Total production: 416 cases."

  "A tiny 1.3ha vineyard, opens with a shot of cassis puree, intense and concentrated, clear licorice and black pepper spice. This is pretty closed at this early In Bottle moment, as you might expect from a wine with so much intensity and tension, and it retains the austerity of limestone that is sometimes lost in the heat of the vintage. Clear fennel kick on the finish, lovely shot of mouthwatering freshness, this is sculpted and delivers its power with a caress. Sophie Fourcade owner. An extremely impressive wine.   "This blend of 80% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon presents a rather classy nose, with a core of savoury dark fruits, all currant, blackberry and dark chocolate, interwoven with a fine mesh of perfumed, sandalwood oak. This is followed by a very harmonious and delineated start to the palate, which slowly reveals fresh and juicy summer berries, all dark blackberry, black cherry and raspberry, with threads of dark chocolate and toasted oak, with a tangible tobacco-laced texture. An exceptionally smart St Emilion here, one which combines the vintage’s density of fruit in a harmonious fashion with handsome oak and savoury structure. A star performance. Tasted twice. The alcohol on the label is a very sensible 14%."
