James Suckling: "The black olives and dark fruit come through on the nose with violets and wet earth. Full and very chunky and powerful. Yet it’s lively and vivid with excellent energy. Fantastic. Pure merlot. Leave it until 2030."

Beguiling and enjoyable at the same time, giving a seductive core of strawberry, red cherry and raspberry - with high acidity - alongside liquorice-edged tannins that give the depth and density. Well worked, this retains a sense of style and signature, so easy to drink and to like, but with plenty of power, precision and focus. This wine just delivers on all fronts, balanced, harmonious, lovely high acidity giving the energy plus the texture which is just the perfect weight. You could drink this now but it will age so well. I just love this wine so much, clean, clear, crisp and stylish, it’s the undiscovered supermodel in a bottle. Yum!"

Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2020 Château Latour A Pomerol showed brilliantly, with a medium to full-bodied, concentrated, yet incredibly elegant profile that's already impossible to resist. Black cherries, spicy oak, tobacco, camphor, and hints of graphite all define the aromatics, and this balanced, ethereal, complex Pomerol is going to shine for at least two decades. It's another stunning wine from the team at Moueix."

The Wine Cellar Insider: "Rich, deep, dark, concentrated and packed with layers of black and red plums, chocolate, licorice, truffle and tobacco leaf in the nose, on the palate, this is where the action really takes place with its silky, full, vibrant mouth-feel. The wine finishes with layers of chocolate covered black cherries and plums drizzled with chocolate and a touch of espresso that comes in at the end. This is going to age and evolve for decades. Drink from 2025-2050."

Wine Spectator: " Smolders with warm earth and paving stone aromas that seep out from the core of dark currant and blackberry preserves. Offers alder, licorice root and tobacco notes that fill in on the finish, where the fruit and earth notes meld steadily. Very solid. Best from 2026 through 2036. 1,550 cases made, 400 cases imported."

Jancis Robinson: "Solid and even a little meaty on the nose but fresh and vibrant on the palate. Plenty of juicy fruit and finely edged tannins. Lovely poise and length on the finish. Needs a little more aromatic complexity but won’t disappoint."
