"With a depth of flavor, you find multiple layers of juicy, fresh, pomelo, green apple, honeysuckle, crushed rocks and ripe pears. It is hard to say if it is the purity, length, complexity or richness which knocks me out the most. The wine impossibly hard to find, and incredibly expensive, but for wine lovers without a budget, this is the equal of just about any great white wine in the world."

"Composed of 69% Sauvignon Blanc and 31% Semillon, the Haut-Brion 2015 Blanc simply sings with melodious notes of ripe Bosc pears, Golden Delicious apple slices, fresh pineapple and honeyed apricots, providing a highly emotive leitmotif of chalk dust, yuzu zest, shaved almonds and beeswax not to mention the faintest tone of pure lime blossom. The medium to full-bodied palate contributes a compelling steeliness to all those incredible layers, plus a fantastic frame of freshness, finishing with multifaceted mineral and citrus accents. The many tightly wound nuances here as well as the built-like-a-brick-house structure promise to greatly reward the patient over the next 25+ years. Trust me, lovers of this style will be kicking themselves if they don’t purchase a few bottles of this amazing vintage while they can."

"The is a creamy and enticing Haut-Brion Blanc showing cream, cooked-apple, lemon and mineral aromas and flavors. Full-bodied, layered and soft with silky tannins. A long and bright aftertaste. Energetic and focused. Drink now."

"The 2015 Haut Brion Blanc is the more Sauvignon dominated white from this team (the La Mission is more Sémillon) and checks in as 69% Sauvignon Blanc and 31% Sémillon, brought up in barrel. It offers a sensational perfume of caramelized limes, white grapefruit, tangerine, mint, and citrus, with a pure, elegant, seamless style on the palate. It’s not as concentrated or opulent as the la Mission, yet has incredible precision and purity, as well as minerality. Drink it anytime over the coming decade or more."

"Always one of the great white wines of the world, this vintage continues that reputation. With its richness, density and layers of fruit and acidity, this wine is powerful and beautifully ripe. The wood aging is just a hint in background. Drink from 2024."

"This is a very large white, with salted butter, lemon gelée, shortbread and white peach flavors pumping out first, followed by a wave of green plum and honeysuckle. The finish is loaded with shortbread, salted butter and quinine notes, allowing this to stay nimble despite its heft. A frankly stunning wine. Best from 2020 through 2040. 550 cases made."

    Decanter

"An outstanding white. 69% Sauvignon Blanc, 31% Sémillon with a pH of 3.14 (the lowest since 2010). This is focused and stunningly aromatic, even though Jean-Philippe Delmas is happy to call this a red wine year for the château. That may be so, but this is a beautiful wine: textured, taut and pointedly ing, with great structure and integrity to the citrus fruit and vertical lift on the finish. Clearly going to age beautifully. 14.3%abv."

"Helles Gelbgrün, Silberreflexe. Zarte weiße Tropenfrucht, dezente vetegale Würze, ein Hauch von Holz, frische Orangenzesten im Hintergrund. Saftig, elegant, feine Fruchtsüße, lebendiger Säurebogen, mineralisch und gut anhaftend, sicheres Reifepotenzial, beginnt sich langsam zu öffnen."

"Tasted blind. Some oak in evidence on the nose but lots of undertow and excitement underneath. Still tense but exciting and expressive enough to drink now. Very persistent."
