  • The Wine Advocate

"The 2015 Mathilde has a delineated and focused bouquet with blackberry, raspberry coulis and violent scents that waft temptingly from the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, well-integrated oak, harmonious and fresh with a long and tender, citrus-tinged finish. This is recommended - a lively, fresh and quite vivacious Saint Émilion in prospect."

  • James Suckling

"A soft and velvety red with currant and sweet berry character. Some floral and light vanilla undertones. Full body, round textured tannins and a long, flavorful finish. Need two or three years to come together. Begin drinking in 2021."

  • Jeb Dunnuck

"Named after the daughter of proprietor Jean-François Julien and from 50-year-old Merlot vines planted in sandy, gravelly soils (very little limestone), the 2015 Château La Fleur Morange Mathilde boasts a deep, inky purple color as well as a floral, blueberry, cherry, and vanilla-laced bouquet. Ripe, sexy and upfront and ready to go, drink it over the coming decade."

  • Jancis Robinson

"Very dark. Intensely rich on the nose and then quite calm and savoury on the palate. Quite racy really. This has moved with the times! Rewarding."

  • The Wine Cellar Insider

"As this is always the first Bordeaux from a new vintage I see delivered in the states, I've already popped a few corks from my case. Give it 1-2 hours of air, as this wine gets better, softer and more interesting than you might initially suspect. Full bodied, round and mineralistic, the licorice, ripe, juicy black cherries and plums are there from start to finish."

  • Decanter

"Dark fruit with a real spicy, liquorice tone. Ample mid-palate fruit. Fine, dense tannins with freshness behind. Suave and long. Drinking Window 2022 - 2032"
