JAMES SUCKLING: "This has a complex and sophisticated nose that delivers peach fruits and citrus, plus some bolder yellow plum fruits too. The palate is assertive, energetic and concentrated with peach and nectarine flavors met with lemony acidity. Long, really powerful Champagne here. Drink now or age on cork for three or more years."

WINE SPECTATOR: "A classy Champagne, with a lovely, viscous creaminess on the palate, carrying finely detailed flavors of peach skin, spring blossom, steeped raspberry and slivered almond. Long and mouthwatering, with a well-spiced finish. Disgorged December 2017. Drink now through 2025."

DECANTER: "This blend of 70% Chardonnay and 30% Pinot Noir is vinified entirely in the larger size oak barrels known as foudres, and it’s typically a blend of three vintages. Rich in texture yet elegantly carried, and it ages with remarkable grace."

THE WINE ADVOCATE: "Blending 70% Chardonnay with 30% Pinot Noir and the vintages 2012, 2013 and 2014, the NV Premier Cru Grand Cellier displays a deep, clear and intense bouquet with ripe citrus and grapefruit notes. Full-bodied, fresh and very elegant, with just a hint of tannins from newer oak vats (the wines were vinified in oak for ten months), this is a well-structured, beautifully dry and terribly fresh cuvée with lingering citrus flavors on the impressive finish. This is still very young, though, and with remarkable acidity (no malolactic fermentation). Tasted April 2018."

FALSTAFF: "Helles Goldgelb mit grünen Reflexen, feines Mousseux. Weiße Blüten, nach Linde und Geißblatt, Aromen von frischem ­Ingwer, Zitruszesten, etwas Orange. Am Gaumen überraschend erfrischende Säure, saftig. Im Nachklang belebende zitrische Noten mit salziger Mineralik und Extraktsüße. Guter Länge."
