  "Nur 20 hl/ha Ertrag. Dunkles Granat, rubinroter Rand. Bezauberndes Bouquet, rotes Cassis mit Milchkaffeenote und einem Hauch Zedern. Schon fast zärtlich am Gaumen, sehr feines Tannin, Haselnusspralinen, feine Milchkaffeetöne, lang und elegant. Ein langlebiger St. Emilion, der aber auch schon früh zu gefallen weiss. Die extreme Konzentration spürt man kaum, weil dieser Wein so viele Finessen birgt."

A flash of sweet tapenade and iron helps extend the finish, which has lovely latent minerality. This shows great restraint, considering its power of fruit.
