"Lovely purity straight away, a gorgeous texture in the mouth, clean, not overly sweet. Touches of pear, bitter orange peel, sweet peaches, honey, caramel and ever so soft floral reflections. I like this a lot, totally moreish and easy to drink with lots of flavour and plenty of nuance. Ends clean. Pretty good!"

  • Jeb Dunnuck

"Ripe honeyed citrus, pineapple, tangerines, and minty nuances all emerge from the 2021 Clos Haut-Peyraguey, a wonderfully complete, medium to full-bodied sauternes that has terrific balance in its sugar and acidity, a deep, layered mid-palate, and ample length on the finish. Beautifully done, it's one of those dessert wines that doesn't hit you over the head but builds beautifully on the palate and has everything in the right place."

  • Lisa Perrotti-Brown

"Pale lemon-yellow in color, the 2021 Clos Haut-Peyraguey features zippy citrus notes of key lime pie and candied orange peel with underlying scents of clover honey, freshly grated ginger, and lime blossoms with a waft of sea spray. The palate has lovely vivacity and freshness, with a long, mineral-laced finish."

  • The Wine Cellar Insider

"Honeysuckle, apricots, flowers and overripe pineapples are drenched with honey and vanilla, finishing with the amount of racy acidity to give everything lift and energy. Drink from 2023-2044."

  • James Suckling

"Wax, sour cream, lemon curd and sweetened apricots. Sweet and direct on the palate with a medium to full body and a round, creamy finish. Slightly unctuous, but balanced with enough acidity to uphold the sugar. Drink or hold."

  • Falstaff

"Helles Grüngelb, Silberreflexe. Verhalten, zarte gelbe Tropenfrucht, etwas Pfirsich und Birne, floraler Touch. Kraftvoll, saftig, reife Ananas, dezenter Säurebogen, mineralisch-salzig im Abgang, noch etwas unterentwickelt."

  • Jancis Robinson

"Refined with a flatteringly smooth texture. A wine that tastes like one of those carefully constructed Louis XV tearooms contrived for Ladurée macaroons (sorry about this artful, and possibly unhelpful, simile). Very neat and contained and really rather beautiful, in a sweetly preserved way. Tight and super-controlled."

  • The Wine Advocate

"The 2021 Clos Haut-Peyraguey, a blend of 60% Sémillon and 40% Sauvignon Blanc, reveals a fruity, elegant bouquet of pineapple and exotic fruits and gentle hints of volatile acidity. Moderately weighted and juicy, it’s fresh and delicate with a short, ethereal finish."
