Decanter: "Lovely purity straight away, a gorgeous texture in the mouth, clean, not overly sweet. Touches of pear, bitter orange peel, sweet peaches, honey, caramel and ever so soft floral reflections. I like this a lot, totally moreish and easy to drink with lots of flavour and plenty of nuance. Ends clean. Pretty good!"

Jeb Dunnuck: "Ripe honeyed citrus, pineapple, tangerines, and minty nuances all emerge from the 2021 Clos Haut-Peyraguey, a wonderfully complete, medium to full-bodied sauternes that has terrific balance in its sugar and acidity, a deep, layered mid-palate, and ample length on the finish. Beautifully done, it's one of those dessert wines that doesn't hit you over the head but builds beautifully on the palate and has everything in the right place."

The palate has lovely vivacity and freshness, with a long, mineral-laced finish."

A wine that tastes like one of those carefully constructed Louis XV tearooms contrived for Ladurée macaroons (sorry about this artful, and possibly unhelpful, simile). Very neat and contained and really rather beautiful, in a sweetly preserved way. Tight and super-controlled."
