Im langen Finale Grapefruitfleisch und reife Stachelbeere – was für ein grandioser Wein – Bravo Mr. Carrier!"

Chateau de Fieuzal

Auf etwa 10 Hektar produziert Fieuzal jährlich etwa 4.000 Kisten eines genialen Weißweines. Der Blend besteht je zur Hälfte aus Semillon und Sauvignon blanc, der Ausbau erfolgt zu nahezu 100% in neuen Barriques. Die Lese erfolgt ausschließlich per Hand in mehreren Durchgängen je nach Reifegrad. Dies zeigt, dass der technische Direktor Gerard Gribelin keinen Spaß versteht, wenn es um Qualität geht. Ich wage mittlerweile sogar die Behauptung, dass Fieuzal einen besseren Weißwein als Rotwein produziert. Auf jeden Fall aber ist der weiße Fieuzal praktisch in jedem Jahrgang unter die Top 5 der ganzen Appellation zu setzen. Preislich ist er gemessen an der Konkurrenz günstig.
