THE WINE ADVOCATE: "An unquestionable star of the vintage, this 18-acre vineyard is near Trotanoy, Latour a Pomerol and Clinet. The wine is made from 95% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc. Only 50% of the production made it into the Grand Vin label. Surprisingly it sports a lofty 13.4% natural alcohol. Deep ruby/purple, with notes of plum, blackcurrant, black cherry, incense and camphor, the wine shows surprising depth, a reasonably broad, succulent mouthfeel and a luscious, impressive finish. This is atypically rich, juicy and succulent for a 2013. Drink it over the next decade or more."
