Kraftvoll, stoffig, mineralisch, extraktsüß, präsente, tragende Tannine, salziger Touch, sehr gute Frische und Länge, langer Nachhall, gutes Reifepotenzial."

Am druckvollen Gaumen mit cremiger Tetxur, fleischigem Extrakt, stützendem Tanningerüst und mächtigem Körper. Im aromatischen langanhaltenden Finale schwarze Beeren, Heidekraut und dunkles Graphit. Rich but dark and cooling, a brooding and bewitching style with liquorice-laced fruit and firm tannins. Serious, mouth filling, concentrated and rich but well delivered. There is a clarity to the fruit but this is all muscle and sinew at the moment. Lovely but tight and tense, so focussed with a hint of crushed stone and mint on the finish. A characterful style."

It offers a powerful, medium to full-bodied, concentrated style that has some oak to integrate, terrific black and blue fruits, notes of chocolate, saddle leather, and earthy tobacco, building tannins, and a great finish. It comes together beautifully with time in the glass and is a serious, age-worthy Pomerol that will benefit from 4-5 years of bottle age and keep for two decades."

Deep garnet-purple in color, it opens with fragrant notes of sandalwood, lilacs, cedar chest, and vanilla pod, giving way to a fruitcake and plum preserves core. The full-bodied palate has a sturdy structure of firm, grainy tannins and just enough freshness to support the dense, muscular black fruits, finishing long and earthy."

The Wine Advocate: "Made from 100% Merlot, the 2018 Latour à Pomerol has a deep garnet-purple color and a relatively understated nose of stewed plums, baked blackberries and redcurrant jelly, plus suggestions of unsmoked cigars, cloves and pencil shavings. The medium to full-bodied palate has a sturdy frame of chewy tannins and plenty of freshness supporting the earth and mineral-tinged red and black fruits, finishing long and savory."
