FALSTAFF: "Tiefdunkles Rubingranat, opaker Kern, violette Reflexe, zarter Wasserrand. WEINWISSER: "Purpur mit satter Mitte und rubinroten Reflexen. Betörendes Bouquet mit Schattenmorellen, Holundersaft und Brasiltabak, dahinter Szechuanpfeffer und Schokopastillen. Am druckvollen Gaumen mit cremiger Tetxur, fleischigem Extrakt, stützendem Tanningerüst und mächtigem Körper. Im aromatischen langanhaltenden Finale schwarze Beeren, Heidekraut und dunkles Graphit. Auf gutem Weg."

DECANTER: "Wonderfully evocative nose, rich and vibrant, floral and perfumed alongside red fruits with a tiny touch of wood spice. Rich but dark and cooling, a brooding and bewitching style with liquorice-laced fruit and firm tannins. Serious, mouth filling, concentrated and rich but well delivered. There is a clarity to the fruit but this is all muscle and sinew at the moment. Lovely but tight and tense, so focussed with a hint of crushed stone and mint on the finish. A characterful style."

Deep garnet-purple in color, it opens with fragrant notes of sandalwood, lilacs, cedar chest, and vanilla pod, giving way to a fruitcake and plum preserves core. The full-bodied palate has a sturdy structure of firm, grainy tannins and just enough freshness to support the dense, muscular black fruits, finishing long and earthy."
