The organic Monteverro 2022 Terra di Monteverro is a blend of 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Cabernet Franc, 20% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot sourced from low-lying vineyard sites between 30 and 70 meters above sea level. The wine reveals a dark, inky appearance with fine balance on the bouquet, showcasing dark fruit, creamy blackberry and bitter chocolate. Full-bodied in feel, the tannins are especially tight in this vintage and show a firmness that is likely to define the wine’s evolution for many years to come, reflecting the warm growing season that produced small berries with thick skins. Aged for 20 months in barrique, this is a release of 80,000 bottles."
A smoky and fruity wine with aromas of blueberries, meat and Mediterranean herbs. Full-bodied, it shows firm, dusty tannins that are muscular yet ripe, crisp and tight. Fine-textured at the end. Drinkable now, but best from 2026."
