JAMES SUCKLING: "Suave, brambly mixed summer berry fruits take center stage on the nose with a very nicely layered palate carrying fresh bright berry flavors into an upbeat finish. Smart wine."

WEINWISSER: "Sattes Purpur-Granat, dicht in der Mitte, lila Schimmer aussen. Viel reife Kirschen, aber auch etwas blättrige Noten, schwarze Pfefferkörner und ein Hauch von Zedern. Gibt sich eher kühl in seiner Ausstrahlung. Im Gaumen stoffig und auch schon recht charmant, tolle Würze im Extrakt, lange retronasale Aromatik."

THE WINE CELLAR INSIDER: "The ripe, dark fruits, truffle, licorice and smoky personality is just great. Full bodied, with jubilant, chunky, red fruits, ripe tannins and sweet, rustic cherries in the end note."

DECANTER: "Sixth overall in the Bordeaux blends category. Now owned by the Cuvelier family and crafted under the guiding hand of consultant Stéphane Derenoncourt, this Cru Bourgeois has consistently offered up excellent value for money in recent vintages. Initially restrained and shy on the nose, it needs coaxing to reveal intriguing coffee, fresh earth and briary fruit scents. Ample tannins are youthful and vigorous but equally sophisticated and suave. This promises a solid decade or more in the cellar."

FALSTAFF: "Dunkles Rubingranat, violette Reflexe, zarte Randaufhellung, feiner Cassistouch, florale Nuancen, schwarze Beerenfrucht, frische Orangenzesten. Saftig, rund und harmonisch, feine Tannine, finessenreich strukturiert, mineralisch und trinkanimierend, zitroniger Touch im Finish."
