JAMES SUCKLING: "Incredible floral and walnut undertones with a bright berry and currant character. Very aromatic and refined. Full body, very fine tannins and a bright finish. Medium to full body, integrated tannins and a long, fresh finish. Very linear and focused. This is one for the cellar but so fine now. Drink or hold."

THE WINE ADVOCATE: "Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2014 The Maiden opens with a beautiful exotic spice and potpourri nose over a core of red and black currants, cedar chest, cloves and menthol plus a waft of fragrant earth. Medium to full-bodied, it has a lovely velvety texture and great freshness lifting the spicy flavors, finishing with lingering red and black fruit layers."
