"The 1990 has turned out better than I expected. It offers a classic Lafite perfume of graphite/lead pencil shavings interwoven with red and black currants, fresh porcini mushrooms, smoke, and tobacco leaf. Medium to full-bodied, soft, and elegant, it is not as concentrated as the 1982, but is a luscious, round Pauillac to enjoy over the next 5-10 years"

Chateau Duhart Milon

Duhart Milon gehört seit 1962 zu den Besitztümern von Lafite Rothschild. Damals standen nur 17 Hektar der insgesamt 110 Hektar von Duhart Milon Rothschild unter Reben und selbst diese waren in keinem guten Zustand. Das hat sich längst geändert. In Spitzenjahren produziert Duhart Milon absolute Top-Weine. Viele unserer Kunden werden noch mit großer Freude an den tollen 82er Duhart Milon denken. Welches Potential in den Böden von Duhart Milon steckt, zeigte in der jüngeren Geschichte eindrucksvoll der Jahrgang 2003. Die Vinifikation erfolgt traditionell in zur Hälfte neuen Fässern, gelesen wird per Hand. Die Rebberge von Chateau Duhart Milon sind mit 67% mit Cabernet Sauvignon und mit 33% Merlot bepflanzt. Die Jahresproduktion beläuft sich auf etwa 20.000 Kisten.
