JAMES SUCKLING: "Lots of minerals and stones here. Full-bodied with phenolic tension and lime, lemon and chalk flavors. Layered and joyous. Just the right lees stirring. Why wait? Drink now."

WINE SPECTATOR: "This has a flattering, creamy feel, with lemon curd and creamed yellow apple notes gilded by honeysuckle, fennel and verbena flavors. Light kiwi and green plum tones add range through the finish, which sports a broad swath of salted butter. Best from 2019 through 2027. 907 cases made."

JEB DUNNUCK: "Looking first at the whites, the 2015 La Clarte de Haut Brion comes from the lots that didn’t make the cut for both the Haut Brion Blanc and the La Mission Haut Brion Blanc. Nevertheless, it’s a seriously good wine in its own right and readers looking for a great introduction into the whites from Bordeaux, and the Dillon team, should check this out. Exotic notes of lychee, white grapefruit, and caramelized citrus all flow to a medium-bodied, fresh, elegant, yet concentrated white that has bright acidity and a great finish."

WINE ENTHUSIAST: " 91–93. Barrel Sample. This second wine comes from both La Mission Haut-Brion and Haut-Brion white parcels. This is a fine and ripe while also showing an herbal character. Citrus and yellow fruits work in harmony."

THE WINE ADVOCATE: "This is effectively a combined second wine of Chateau Haut-Brion Blanc and La Mission Haut-Brion Blanc, which prior to 2009 was known as Les Plantiers du Haut-Brion. A blend of 27% Sauvignon Blanc and 73% Semillon and redolent of ripe peaches, pink grapefruit and baking bread with touches of orange blossoms and crushed stones, the intense, satiny textured 2015 La Clarté de Haut-Brion Blanc offers up a lively palate laced with mineral accents and finishing with impressive persistence."
