  Decanter
  "Supple and agile in the mouth, a good burst of chalky tannins with bright strawberry acidity and touches of mint and blackcurrant leaf around the sides. The texture is on the prominent side at the moment, taking over the fruitiness, but there's good structure and feels like a serious wine. Juicy and salty, straight and all in one line. Good potential. Not demonstrative but nicely built with underlying power and strong tannic backbone. Great terroir touches too."

  "Dunkles Rubingranat, violette Reflexe, zarte Randaufhellung. Schwarze Kirschen, zarte tabakige Nuancen, ein Hauch von Brombeerkonfit, mineralischer Touch. Saftig, elegant, ein Hauch von Zwetschken, feine Fruchtsüße, reife, gut integrierte Tannine, ausgewogen, ein Hauch von Nougat im Nachhall, bereits gut entwickelt."

  "The 2021 Branas Grand Poujeaux has a medium garnet-purple color. It gallops out with expressive scents of fresh blackcurrants, Morello cherries, and bay leaves, leading to touches of lavender and fertile loam. The medium-bodied palate has a great concentration and a good backbone of grainy tannins, finishing refreshing. Nice!"

  "Intricate grilled tarragon and white pepper on top of the currant leaves, cassis, stones and smoked red fruit. Juicy and medium-bodied on the palate with fresh and nicely chewy tannins. Long and firm. Would rate even higher if there was a little more polish. Better from 2024."
