JAMES SUCKLING: "Sweet-berry, smoke and black-cherry aromas follow through to a medium to full body with fine tannins that are beautifully integrated and melt into the body of the wine. Rather savory. Delicious cherries and berries at the end. 97% merlot and 3% cabernet franc. Drink after 2026."

THE WINE CELLAR INSIDER: "Not quite as opulent or as concentrated as it was in barrel, but there is still a lot to love here. Rich, dark, deep, black plums and chocolate, with a side of licorice, truffle, flowers and espresso, the wine is fresh, polished, silky and sensuous. For a Pomerol at this level of quality, the wine sells for a song. Drink from 2024-2042."

WEINWISSER: "97 % Merlot, 3 % Cabernet Franc. Dichtes Purpur.

JEB DUNNUCK: "A small estate managed by Philippe Casteja and located not far from Château Clinet and L'Eglise Clinet, the 2019 Château Du Domaine De L'Eglise boasts a deep purple hue as well as sumptuous notes of black cherries, jammy blackberry, leafy herbs, chocolate, and damp earth. It's rich and full-bodied, with wonderful fruit and a great finish. Almost all Merlot (there's a splash of Cabernet Franc), this beauty will benefit from just short-term cellaring and keep for 15 years or more."
