WINE SPECTATOR: "Compact now, with a core of blueberry, blackberry and black currant reduction flavors that´s tightly wound, while licorice snap, roasted apple wood and tar notes hold sway. Everything knits through the finish, though this will take some time to fully unwind. There´s no risk in waiting, as this is laced with racy tannins and mouthwatering acidity. Just be patient. Best from 2020 through 2039. 450 cases made."

JAMES SUCKLING: "Aromas of blueberries and black currants. Hints of fresh herbs, too. Full-bodied, layered and flavorful. Soft and delicious. Drink or hold."

WINE ENTHUSIAST: "This is the first vintage to be released from this vineyard-designate. It originates from Linda Falls Vineyard atop Howell Mountain, which the family has been farming since planting it in 2002. The wine is herbal and high in acidity, offering nuanced layers of tart cranberry, cassis and just-picked blackberry as well as a field-full of violet and wildflower."
