JANCIS ROBINSON: "Extraordinary Derenoncourt wine which tastes more like a burgundy than a bordeaux and therefore stands out in the right bank crowd. Open topped fermenters apparently and pretty much made like a red burgundy. Very rich, opulent, sweet perfumed nose. Charming floral notes. Pretty marked oak influence on the finish but great charm on the front palate. Very distinctive! Tempting to give it an even higher mark for offering such novelty."
