  "A smoking Margaux with tons of character, the 2022 Château Marojallia showed beautifully. Ripe cherries, blueberries, spring flowers, and tobacco all make an appearance in the bouquet, and it hits the palate with a medium to full-bodied, concentrated, structured style that has everything in the right place. I don't see it being for the instant gratification crowd, but if you're able to hide these in the cellar for 4-6 years or so, you'll be a happy camper. I wouldn't be surprised to see this rival the 2009 when all is said and done."

  "The 2022 Marojallia is deep garnet-purple in color. It features expressive notes of crushed blackcurrants, Morello cherries, and mulberries, leading to wafts of wild thyme, pencil shavings, and violets. The medium-bodied palate has a firm structure of ripe, grainy tannins and plenty of freshness to support the taut, muscular black and red berry layers, finishing on a lingering mineral note."

  "Supple and juicy, really quite lively and plush, nice energy and density, tannis are on the ripe side, they completely fill the mouth but are softly chewy and have a ripe blackcurrant and cherry flavour which is appealing. Complete and generous - on the fun, ample side but still keeping it reigned in. Tannic for sure, but I like the energy and playfulness. Good support, sculpting and acidity too.   "This will be the last year for Château Marojallia to be bottled from this site, because the estate and vines have now been sold to neighbouring Château Marquis de Terme. I believe the name will still exist, but not from these vineyards, so fans should get hold of this vintage. It is, rather fittingly if you know the history of the first 'garagiste' wine in the appellation, riper than many Margaux in the vintage, meaning that it has leaned further in to the exuberance of the year in terms of celebrating deep spice, baked plum and black chocolate. Clear flashes of heat, but also plenty of enjoy and get stuck in to. Heavy bottle. 60% new barrels, 40% one-year barrels."
