Im Gaumen schon erstaunlich saftig und für einen jungen Pavie der neueren Zeit recht fein, viel rote Beeren, die frisch und trotz des massiven Körpers fast beschwingt über die Zunge gleiten. Ist der Wein jetzt in der Fruchtphase, dass er sich schon so schön geniessen lässt? Er macht auf alle Fälle viel Spass – und das sicher lange Zeit."

  "One of the top wines of this cooler vintage is rich, concentrated and loaded with ripe, black cherry, licorice, dark chocolate, cedar and wet earth. The tannins are soft, the finish is long and the aromatics are complex. For those that find Pavie too much for their delicate senses, this is a good vintage to explore, due to its cool, weather characteristics."

  "Mittleres Rubingranat, zart unterockert, breiterer Wasserrand. Noten von Karamell, relativ entwickeltes Bukett, Brombeergelee, Nougat, ein Hauch von Mokka und Dörrobst. Saftiges Kirschkonfit, mittlere Textur, frisch und rotbeerig, bereits gut antrinkbar, verfügt aber durchaus über einige Lagerfähigkeit, ein charmanter Speisenbegleiter."

  "This is sneakily good for the vintage, with a soft, mature edge to the mix of mulled plum and black cherry fruit, which gives way slowly to cedar, vanilla and tobacco notes through the finish.
