  "85 % Merlot, 15 % Cabernet Franc. Produktion etwa 10´000 Flaschen. Tiefes Purpur, satt in der Mitte, Granatschimmer am Rand. Ein wunderbares Bouquet. Waldhimbeeren, reife Pflaumen, Cassis, dunkle Edelhölzer und nobler Schwarztee, Bergamotte und Zitronenthymian feine dunkle Caramelnoten im zweiten Ansatz. Aromatischer Gaumenbeginn, die Adstringenz versteckt sich etwas mehr im fordernden Extrakt als an der Gaumenseite, zeigt eine gebundene Süsse an im langen, aromatischen, nach Brombeeren schmeckenden Finale. Für mich ist dies ein Eglise-Clinet, welcher fest an den 1997er erinnert. Und das ist in diesem Falle ein Kompliment, denn damals war dies beste Pomerol und dies ist auch beim Jahrgang 2013 der Fall. Für Denis Durantou ist er mindestens so gut wie der 2001er, wenn nicht besser."

  "The 2013 L´Eglise Clinet has a very precise, tightly wound bouquet with limestone-tinged, brambly red berry fruit, the Merlot still very expressive and imparting comely floral scents. There is something almost Burgundy-like about the nose. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin surrounding a core of citrus-fresh, lively red fruit, silky smooth in texture, approachable in style, with an almost symmetrical finish. This was a great L´Eglise-Clinet in barrel in the context of the vintage and it remains a very persuasive wine in bottle. Bravo Denis Durantou - a winemaker that can overcome even the most deplorable of growing seasons!" Drink: 2018 - 2035 - Neal Martin.

  "Floral, licorice and cherry aromatics get along well here. Medium/full bodied, with a fresh, open character. While as you would expect with the 2013 vintage, the wine lacks the weight and density of the top vintages. Yet, the wine is still fun to taste with its silky, soft red fruits, sweetness of flavor and soft textures. Plus you do not have to wait for it to develop, as this is already quite tasty."

  "This is sneakily deep and long, with bramble, licorice root and warm fruitcake notes enhancing a core of sappy kirsch, blackberry coulis and plum compote flavors. Everything pulls together nicely on the finish, though this needs time to stretch out fully. This has really beefed up since the barrel tasting. Best from 2018 through 2027. 3,750 cases made."
