A vivid Champagne, with chiseled acidity enmeshed with flavors of crushed boysenberry and chopped yellow peach fruit, lime peel, fragrant nutmeg and cumin, plus hints of crystallized honey and oyster shell. This is tightly meshed and racy, yet the raw silk-like mousse carries the flavor profile nicely through the persistent finish. Enjoy this today as well as with cellaring. Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Beautifully refined and delicate with clementine and pale strawberry enlivened by a touch of flintiness and creaminess and delivered with a delicate mousse. A very restrained, even discreet nose of green apple, freshly baked brioche and citrus dissolves into intense, pure and driving flavors that possess a wonderfully broad panoply of flavors that are gorgeously persistent. A blend of 70% pinot noir and 30% chardonnay, this has a complex and sophisticated nose that delivers peach fruits and citrus, plus some bolder yellow plum fruits too. The palate is assertive, energetic and concentrated with peach and nectarine flavors met with lemony acidity. Long, really powerful Champagne here. Drink now or age on cork for three or more years."

For a reliable non-vintage Champagne that offers the versatility of being enjoyed now or cellared for later, Vilmart & Cie’s NV Grand Cellier cuvée is a standout choice. Based on the 2021 vintage and enriched with 50% reserve wines from 2020 and 2019, it was matured in large casks, predominantly from Tonnellerie Rousseau. Stylistically distinct from the Grande Réserve, this cuvée reverses the blend, featuring 70% Chardonnay and 30% Pinot Noir. The latest release combines the bright, focused character of the cool, late-ripening 2021 vintage with the concentration of the two preceding years. Bursting with aromas of lemon zest, white flowers and crisp pear, it leads into a medium to full-bodied, taut palate with excellent tension and lively acidity, complemented by a fine, pinpoint mousse and concluding with a long and mineral finish. Disgorged in November 2023 with a dosage of seven grams per liter, it is a balanced and vibrant Champagne."

Made from 70% Chardonnay and the remainder Pinot Noir, the NV Champagne Grand Cellier Brut was raised for 10 months in large foudre before spending 30 months sur latte. The nose is rounded and soft, with a delicate perfume of vanilla pastry, Anjou pear, and white flowers. The palate is rounded but dry, with citrus zest that lifts through the modest finish. Drink 2023-2030."

Helles Goldgelb mit grünen Reflexen, feines Mousseux. Weiße Blüten, nach Linde und Geißblatt, Aromen von frischem Ingwer, Zitruszesten, etwas Orange. Am Gaumen überraschend erfrischende Säure, saftig. Im Nachklang belebende zitrische Noten mit salziger Mineralik und Extraktsüße. Guter Länge."
