"This expression of Fourchaume is elegant and delicate, with notes of mirabelle plums, grapefruit, lime zest and hazelnut. The texture is fine and silky, with less power than the Pièce au Comte bottling, but still, there is enough substance to draw the wine to a satisfying conclusion. The grapes are from four parcels in Fourchaume that total 1.5ha; they are lightly crushed and fermented in tank and barrel (10%) then aged nearly 18 months before bottling."
