WEINWISSER: "Goldgelb mit grünen Reflexen. Zarter Duft nach Reneklodenkompott und gelben Rosen, dahinter Kleehonig und weisser Kandis. Am dichten Gaumen mit karamellartiger Textur und herrlicher öliger Extraktfülle. Im gebündelten Finale Mandarinenöl, weisse Schokomousse und eingelegte Feigen. Hat im Vergleich zu den Primeurs zugelegt."

WINE ENTHUSIAST: "93–95. Barrel Sample. This classic wine shows a concentrated botrytis tone balanced by orange zest and ripe honeyed flavors. Its fruitiness has great lift from acidity and offers a fresh aftertaste."

THE WINE ADVOCATE: "Pale to medium lemon-gold colored, the 2018 la Tour Blanche is a little reticent to begin, opening out to notes of honeydew melon, nectarines and baked apples with touches of lightly browned toast, allspice and powdered ginger. The palate features loads of zip and zing with bags of freshness to counter the rich fruit, finishing on a lingering gingery note."

JAMES SUCKLING: "A spicy, flavorful Sauternes with aromas of candied lemon, ginger, spice, marmalade and dried apricot. Plenty of earthy and botrytis character. Layered, fresh and well integrated. Almost feels savory. Drink or hold."

DECANTER: "Slow and steady progress through the palate, with powerful apricot and peach fruits. This is a very classic Sauternes with a texture that draws you in. Could just benefit from more uplift through the finish. Drinking Window 2021 - 2038"

FALSTAFF: "Helles Gelbgold, silberfarbene Reflexe. Feiner Honigtouch, kandierte Orangenzesten, gelbe Tropenfruchtnuancen, noch etwas verhaltenes Bukett. Elegant, feine, eingebundene Süße, zartes Säurespiel, harmonischer Stil, dezente Mineralität im Nachhall, sicheres Reifepotenzial. (2020–2045)"

THE WINE CELLAR INSIDER: "With a strong floral character, the wine exudes candied orange rind, tangerine, lemon curd and pineapple on the nose and palate. Sweet, fresh and with macadamia nut honey riding on top of all the fruits, this is a solid sweet treat."
