THE WINE ADVOCATE: "Tasted blind at the Southwold 2012 tasting. The 2012 Malartic-Lagravière Blanc has a very attractive bouquet, armed with expressive Sauvignon Blanc scents: gooseberry, greengage and a touch of honeysuckle. The palate is clean and fresh with a veneer of oak that will be subsumed with time. I appreciate the balance and poise of this wine, that dab of ginger on the finish that leaves the tongue tingling long after the wine has gone. What a fantastic, life-affirming, damn delicious white Bordeaux from the estate - this comes highly recommended. Tasted January 2016."

WEINWISSER: "Mitteldunkles Gelb, somit recht intensiv, leuchtender Rand. Wenn man die Augen schliesst und nicht weiss, was es ist, dann würde man durch seine filigrane traubige Art glatt bei einem Riesling zu suchen beginnen. Im Gaumen enorm saftig, zeigt jetzt schon eine homogene Souplesse. Der Wein trinkt sich fast von selbst und man muss sich beherrschen, das Barriquen-Muster nicht in einem Zug hinunterzukippen."

THE WINE CELLAR INSIDER: "This nose really grabs your attention with its showy perfume of flowers, citrus, honeydew, grapefruit and marmalade. The wine is concentrated, fresh and vibrant, with a real sense of lift that balances the natural sweetness of the fruit in the finish."

JAMES SUCKLING: "A gorgeous white with white truffles, sliced apples and hints of fennel character. Full body, bright acidity and a clean and chalky, stony finish. Excellent."

DECANTER: "It was an unusual blend in 2012, because a late harvest favoured the Sémillons. This has a richness to the texture and aromatics, with touches of straw and white pepper, even points of sumac and tumeric. You can feel the tertiary character coming through at seven years old, although there's clearly still plenty of life ahead. It's a good food matching wine as it has nuance and complexity, if a little atypical of their usual style. The last vintage under Athanase Fakorellis as consultant for the whites. Drinking Window 2019 - 2032"

WINE SPECTATOR: "Offers a creamy, flattering feel, with melon, sweetened butter and straw notes, inlaid with flickers of fleur de sel and white asparagus, keeping this honest through the finish. Delivers a lingering stony echo."
