- James Suckling

"Lots of blackberries, lead pencil, dark earth and blackcurrants. Bright and clear. Full-bodied with lots of fruit yet framed and structured with a deep and intense finish. It goes on for a long time. Greatest Tronquoy ever. A blend of 59% cabernet sauvignon, 35% merlot and 6% petit verdot. Needs five to six years to open."
- Jeb Dunnuck

"Lots of plums, blue and black fruits, earth, chocolate, and hints of earth all emerge from the 2022 Château Tronquoy, a full-bodied, pure, powerful Saint-Estèphe with impressive tannins and a great finish. It shows more floral and red-fruited nuances with time in the glass, and this is clearly a beautiful wine in the making. It shows the ripeness of the vintage while staying pure, balanced, and seamless."
- The Wine Advocate

"The 2022 Tronquoy has turned out much better than I anticipated, bursting with aromas of dark berries, cassis, cigar box and nicely integrated new oak, followed by a medium to full-bodied, layered and elegantly muscular palate that's dense and penetrating. This is well worth seeking out."
- Weinwisser

"59 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 35 % Merlot, 6 % Petit Verdot, 37 hl/ha, pH 3.8, 14.5 Vol.-%.
- Falstaff

"Tiefdunkles Rubingranat, opaker Kern, violette Reflexe, zarte Ockerrandaufhellung. Zart floral, ein Hauch von Zwetschken und Feigen, kandierte Orangenzesten, attraktiver Nougattouch, einladendes Bukett. Saftig, komplex, dunkles Beerenkonfit, kraftvoll, reife, tragende Tannine, schokoladig-mineralischer Abgang, sehr gute Länge, bereits verführerisch, wird von Flaschenreife profitieren."
- Lisa Perrotti-Brown

"The blend here is 59% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot and 6% Petit Verdot, and the élevage was in 25% new oak, for twelve months. A beautiful vibrant colour in the glass with a touch of black cherry. A very pure nose blackcurrant, currant crushed gravel, toasted notes as well as floral verbena and rose, with some lightly desiccated notes, delicately dried fruits which communicate the intensity of the vintage without going too far. This is confirmed on the palate which shows a supple and velvety layer of fruit, grained with charming structural elements, very finely knit and powdery tannins and fresh acidity, with an energy to the structure which only comes out on the finish. Real harmony here, the tannins firm but polished, and it is long too. This is excellent and sure to be good value. Made by Yves Delsol, the Tronquoy winemaker, who is set to retire soon. The alcohol is 14.5% on the label, 14.7% in the wine."
- Wine Enthusiast

"A fine black fruited wine with ripe tannins and a succulent texture. The wine, with its smoky aroma and spice and blackberry flavors is richly textured, dense and likely to age well. With this vintage, Tronquoy-Lalande became Tronquoy. Drink from 2028."
- Jane Anson

"Gorgeous aromatics, silky tannins, great waves of cocoa bean and plum puree, slow burn on the opening, then the fruit slowly expands throughout the mid palate, strong floral quality on the nose, peony and iris, this is a good vintage of Tronquoy, modern, hard to argue with. Clear tannic grip, give it a few years in bottle."
- Decanter

"A richly scented nose full of fragrant blackcurrants. Smooth and straight, this has a gorgeous bounce and sense of energy from the get go. Taut and lively with dried herbs and exotic spices edging the pure black bramble fruit. Ends with a dose of sticky liquorice, aniseed, clove and mint with a mineral tang too. Bright and really well presented with high, mouthwatering acidity. A little on the toasted side for now so give this a few years but once it's fully integrated this will be a joy to drink."
- The Wine Cellar Insider

"The wine pops effortlessly with black, and red dark fruits, array of spices, and chocolate accents in the perfume. The palate offers even more pleasure with its layers of creamy, supple, ripe, sweet fruits, that not only taste great today, but they also have the structure to age for at least 15 or more years. This is the debut vintage with a new name as it is now known as only Tronquoy, and a new, modernized label, and wax capsule as well. Drink from 2026-2040."
