James Suckling: "A linear and racy young Cotes de Bordeaux with blueberry, mineral and crushed-stone character. Violets as well. Medium-bodied, refined yet structured. Plenty of energy here. Persistent finish. 75% merlot, 20% cabernet franc and 5% cabernet sauvignon. Drink after 2028."

James Suckling: "The nose is fragrant and inviting, offering subtle black and blue fruit, dried violets, sandalwood and stones. The medium-bodied palate shows a juicy core of fruit wrapped in dusty tannins, with a textural, lightly earthy finish. Better from 2027."

James Suckling: "This shows spiced cherries and berries as well as a twist of chalk and peppercorns. Juicy on the structured, medium-bodied palate with firm tannins framing the bright red fruit. Long and pretty well-dissolved at the end. Fresh and solid. Drink or hold."

James Suckling: "A nicely structured, savory and textured Pomerol. The nose exhibits blueberries, mulberries, dark plums, dried violets, wet floor and mild spices. It’s medium- to full-bodied with fine, firm tannins. Plenty of graphite character on the palate with a seductive frame of berries and spices mingling harmoniously. Well-driven with a long, focused finish. From organically grown grapes. Drink after 2027."

James Suckling: "An attractive Pomerol with fresh plums, spiced cherries and a touch of white pepper. Ripe, fresh and layered, with fine tannins and a very lengthy, fragrant finish. 85% merlot and 15% cabernet franc. Pure and already enjoyable. Drink or hold."

Jane Anson: "Well judged match between creamy blackberry and damson fruits alongside traces of bitterness and fresh pomegranate and quince. This is good quality, toast, raspberry leaf, cumin, turmeric. Louis Caillard vineyard directo."

Falstaff: "Kräftiges Rubingranat, violette Reflexe, zarte Ockerrandaufhellung. Dezente Röstaromen, dunkle Waldbeeren, reife Herzkirschen, ein Hauch von Nougatkaramell. James Suckling: "Lightly reductive with a floral touch to the ripe but fresh fruit and a touch of white pepper. Quite refined. Nicely chewy with medium to full body and a compact finish of good length. Needs some time in bottle. Drink from 2027."

The Wine Advocate: "Aromas of sweet cherries, petals and licorice introduce the 2022 Château Mangot, a medium to full-bodied, dense and layered wine that's suave and multidimensional, its concentrated core of lively fruit built around sweet, powdery tannins. It's the finest Mangot I've tasted to date, and a decade from now, readers will have a lot of fun including this in blind tastings against more famous names."

Jeb Dunnuck: "Beautiful Cabernet notes of currants, leafy tobacco, menthol, and lovely floral notes all define the 2022 Château Marquis D'Alesme, a medium to full-bodied, concentrated, seamless, elegant Margaux. It has a rich, upfront style, yet it nevertheless brings solid tannic grip. I love it today, yet it's going to take a decade to hit prime time. The blend is 63% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, and the rest Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, hitting 14.5% alcohol. It will see its 30th birthday in fine form."

Chateau Doisy Daene blanc sec 2022 Ein beeindruckend filigranes Meisterwerk, das mit seiner kristallklaren Struktur und Präzision verzaubert. James Suckling: "The blackcurrant and blackberries are really terrific with hints of black ink following through to a medium body with supercentered and intense fruit on the palate. The tannins are very integrated and refined for this estate. A top Beau-Site but needs time to soften. 74% cabernet sauvignon, 23% merlot and 3% petit verdot. Best after 2029."

James Suckling: "Good depth with multilayered complexity, showing paprika, stones, tobacco and cassis. Medium- to full-bodied, this has structured tannins and a sandblasted texture. Tight-boned and long. Needs at least two or three years of bottle-aging. Drink after 2027."

Decanter: "Smooth and sappy, this has great energy and liveliness from the first sip with tangy red fruit, verging on high toned, but with lovely chalky tannins that give this a wide frame. Clean and clear as well as fresh with mint, liquorice and clove spice on the finish. Cool and crunchy with crystalline fruit and bright acidity. Ends lean and salty with generous minerality."

Jeb Dunnuck: "The finest example of the château I've tasted, the 2022 Château Clerc Milon is deep purple-hued with a sensational perfume of crème de cassis, spring flowers, spicy oak, and graphite. It's full-bodied, concentrated, has a weightless mouthfeel, and beautiful tannins, all making for a riveting Pauillac. It needs a decade of bottle age to hit prime time, but this is another truly special 2022 that readers should pounce on."

The Wine Advocate: "Offering up aromas of sweet cherries, berries, spices and new oak, the 2022 Clos l'Eglise is medium to full-bodied, broad and layered, with a velvety attack that segues into a vibrant, rather structured mid-palate, concluding with youthfully firm tannins. Incorporating fully 30% Cabernet Franc this year, this is a strong effort, albeit a touch on the liberally extracted side for such a concentrated vintage."

Dieser Wein tritt bei den Primeurs in der Regel schüchtern und zurückhaltend auf, das ist dieses Jahr überhaupt nicht der Fall, wie ein Topmodell stolziert er über den Laufsteg und ist sich seiner Schönheit bestens bewusst! „Ein supersexy und super seriöser Cheval Blanc" fasst Pierre-Olivier stolz zusammen. Hierfür kann es nur die Bestnote geben, das ist einer der Weine des Jahrgangs. Von (möglichen) 41 Plots sind alle im Grand Vin, d.h. es gibt dieses Jahr keinen Petit Cheval."

Jeb Dunnuck: "A blend of 80% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2022 Clos Saint-Martin is massive and deeply layered, with dense black fruits, truffle, chocolate, crushed stone, and floral notes. Full-bodied and powerful, it has great freshness, fine tannins, and remarkable purity. Aged for 20 months in 60% new oak barrels and 40% amphorae, this structured and mineral-driven wine will need time but should evolve gracefully for 30+ years. Total production: 416 cases."

Falstaff: "Tiefdunkles Rubingranat, opaker Kern, violette Reflexe, dezente Randaufhellung. Feine Kräuternote, Edelholzwürze, schwarze Kirschen, Waldbeeren und zart nach Cassis, ein Hauch von Nougatkaramell. Saftig, engmaschig, frische Struktur, sehr finessenreich und balanciert, präsente, reife Tannine, lebendig und animierend, rote Kirschen im Abgang, salziger Nachhall, ein großes Zukunftsversprechen."
