  "Really lively and fragrant with much more charm than most St-Estèphes usually show. I wonder how the famous Ch Montrose 1990 would have shown? This splits the difference between the slightly demanding terroir effect and the richness of the vintage. Great balance. Slightly mineral notes. Rich, round and fruity. Clean, fresh and dense. Very much over-delivers."

  "Not as concentrated as the 1982, or as most of the vintages made since 2001, the 1990 Cos has reached full maturity. It exhibits sweet berry fruit intermixed with spice box, herbs, and spring flowers.   "Mittleres Rubingranat, Orangerand. In der Nase feines dunkles Beerenkonfit, Kräuterwürze, Edelholzanklänge, Nuancen von Orangenzesten. Am Gaumen kraftvolle und sehr präsente Tannine, unterlegt angenehmer Extraktsüße, elegant gut anhaltend, mineralisch, dezente Würze im Nachhall, Edelschokolade im Finish, ein gutes Beispiel dafür, dass sich das Warten bei Bordeaux meistens lohnt, denn der Wein hat sich sehr gut mit der Reife entwickelt."
