Schon das komplexe, tiefe und schier «sexy» Bouquet verführt dazu, die Nase ganz tief ins Glas fallen zu lassen. Sehr weit gefächerte Struktur, tiefwürzig, fast dunkel mit herr licher Macchia-Würze und Kräutrigkeit: Wilder Fenchel und Salbei vermengen sich mit dunkler Schokolade, Lakritz, frisch geröstetem Mokka sowie mit reifen blauen und schwarzen Früchten. Jüngere Sommeliers würden wohl von einem «verführerischen dunklen Würzmonster » sprechen. Aber es ist viel mehr. Denn im Mund zeigt er, dass er trotz seiner immensen Fülle und Intensität auch sehr gute Manieren hat, hat Anlagen für eine halbe Ewigkeit und dürfte zu purem Hedonismus heranreifen, kann aber auch in seiner jetzigen «Sturm- und Drang-Phase» mit viel Genuss getrunken werden."

There´s a touch of mocha chocolate and toasted espresso bean as well. The wine delivers great length and power. It promises not only to age but to improve as it spends more years in the cellar.
