Zu trinken gibt es unter anderem 2015 LE PETIT HAUT LAFITTE BLANC zu 35,90 Euro, Zweitwein des bis zu 98 Punkte bewerteten 2015 Chateau Smith Haut Lafitte blanc, der allerdings mit nahezu 110 Euro auf das Dreifache taxiert wird. Mit 93 Punkten von ANTONIO GALLONI ist 2015 LE PETIT HAUT LAFITTE BLANC ein Traum-Weißweinwert!   2015 LE PETIT HAUT LAFITTE BLANC: 80 % Sauvignon blanc und 20% Semillon aus 40 Jahre alten Rebanlagen, klassisch per Hand gelesen mit einem Hektarertrag von 30 Hektolitern, anschließend unter sauerstoffarmer Atmosphäre abgepresst und in 50% neuen, auf dem Chateau hergestellten, Barriques vergoren und 10 Monate gereift. Organischer Kompost, Pferde im Weinberg, das Pflanzen selbst selektierter und gezüchteter Klone, der Ersatz jeglicher chemischer Produkte durch organische Produkte sind auf CHATEAU SMITH HAUT LAFITTE ohnehin Standard über den man nicht spricht. Der technische Direktor FABIEN TEITGEN:

„The year 2015 was marked by a long drought from March to July and a month of August rather cool and wet, causing early maturation while maintaining a beautiful freshness. The fresh temperatures, particularly at night during the ripening of the grapes has preserved the acidity which is essential for the good balance and the tension of our white wines... The harvest of the white grapes started on August 31st with the young Sauvignons and from the 7 th to the 15th September for the old vines. Then, on September 14 th we harvested the gray Sauvignon and the Semillon on September 18th. An early, short, and rapid harvest with beautiful weather; what a treat.”   Wir notieren:
